Spring Pledge Night

10 p.m. to Midnight Host: Steve Winters

This was our designated night for seeking pledges from listeners as part of the Spring Pledge Drive for the WSHU Radio Group. We were indeed gratified as our audience cast a very strong vote for folk and acoustic music on the airwaves. We more than doubled our goal for the evening. To show our gratitude, we remained on the air an extra half hour to program music rather than beat the tub for money.

My sincere thanks to WSHU Chief Engineer/Webmaster Paul Litwinovich who joined me in the studio to pitch for pledges. And an equally big thanks to WSHU's Ellen Litwinovich and Cameron LiDestri and listener and old folk-friend Ken Dixon who handled the pledge room telephones. A tip of the hat as well to Green Linnet Records in Danbury and Judith Joiner for the contribution of albums to use as premiums.

Most important, a big bouquet of thanks to all of you who made pledges or are annual members of the stations.
