"Say, Can You Hear That Whistle Blow?"

10 p.m. to Midnight Host: Steve Winters

This is our annual show that explores America's romance with railroads and the hobos attracted to ride the rails by that lonesome freight whistle blowing in the night. The show also features recorded train sounds not included in the playlist. As is custom for this show, one set focuses on an individual artist's efforts in continuing the folk culture that has sprung up around railroads. This year it was Doc Watson.
