With one exception, these selections come from new CD releases - some of
old material and some of new, but almost all with an overriding tone of
traditional music. The first hour focuses on photographer/musician/song
collector John Cohen's new album of traditional reissues and then takes off
through a web of connections with Cohen, David Grisman and Jerry Garcia.
The second hour moves largely into traditional music from the other side of
the Atlantic. The night ends with a beautiful melding of Scandinavia's
Vasen and Ireland's Dervish.
