Pledge Drive

10 p.m. to Midnight Host: Steve Winters

This was pledge night for “Profiles in Folk” and we focused on last week’s success of the “O Brother Where Art Thou?” soundtrack and bluegrass in general at the annual Grammy Awards and during the past year. We opened with recent reissues of the Chieftains in time for St. Patrick’s Day.

My thanks to Walt Graham, host of Saturday night’s Acoustic Connections, WSHU Chief Engineer Paul Litwinovich and my son Matt of WKCR-FM in New York City for sitting is and making pitches for your dollars. Special thanks, as well, to all the listeners who called and made donations. It helps maintain a role at he WSHU Public Radio Group for folk and acoustic music.
