It's the start of a New Year and what a better way to ring it for the first hour than with music. The show's second half was musically and verbally paying tribute to performers from the world of folk and acoustic music who died in 2003.
Among those who died in 2003 were Tommy Thompson, Ginni Clemens, Jonathan Eberhart, Tam Reid, Tom Glazer, Melvin Wine, June Carter Cash, Johnny Cash, Freyda Epstein, Skip Battin, Howard Armstrong, Sam Phillips, Slim Dusty, Johnny Cunningham and bluegrass promoter Doug Tuchman.
