A Mixed Bag

10 p.m. to Midnight Host: Steve Winters

A show that was programmed more by association of thoughts then anything else. And listeners think we plan these shows!

By listener demand, I began where I left off last week with Stan Rogers. The came a bit of social commentary from Eliza Gilkyson, followed by a set by Suzanne Vega that was triggered by a photograph earlier in the week in The New York Times.

The second half featured some Richard Thompson rock transformed into bluegrass thanks to Del McCoury and his band who netted the most IBMA nominations announced this week. We continued (from last week) our tribute to the late Charlie Waller and then finished the night off with The Rarely Herd from Ohio!
