Festival Fling: 29 Years Of Grey Fox

10 p.m. to Midnight Host: Steve Winters

This is the first in a series of “Profiles” that celebrates summer folk festivals. The focus tonight is on Grey Fox, which during its 29 years has been the Berkshire Mountains Bluegrass Festival, Winterhawk and now Grey Fox. It’s located on the Rothvoss Farm in Ancramdale, N.Y. in Columbia County and runs July 14-17. The series of shows features artists who will be appearing at this year’s version of each spotlighted festival and will include ticket and CD give-aways for listeners. There will also be a rundown of East Coast festivals not spotlighted. This show starts out with classic bluegrass cuts. For the focus on Grey Fox, the Northeast’s premier summer bluegrass festival, our sincere thanks to Mary Burdette of the Grey Fox staff.
