The Christmas Story in Folk And Acoustic Music

10 p.m. to Midnight Host: Steve Winters

This is an annual show — one of the most popular Profiles in Folk shows each year — that traces the Christmas story of the birth of Jesus from the Angel Gabriel’s proclamation to Mary through Christianity’s season of Advent and then to the Nativity in a Bethlehem manger and to Epiphany and the march of the Magi, following the star in the East, to pay homage to the Newborn King. It’s a story that begins in darkness and ends in reaffirming light for all humankind.
