In Memoriam: David Schnaufer & Celtic Sounds

10 p.m. to Midnight Host: Steve Winters

This first part of this program paid tribute to David Schnaufer, one of several musicians responsible for the renaissance of the Appalachian dulcimer in folk and country during the folk revival. Schnaufer died on Aug. 23 at age 53 in Nashville after a battle with cancer.

The remainder of the program was devoted to a mix of Celtic music, both old and new, including one set of double takes on two songs.
