It’s WSHU Public Radio’s autumn pledge drive and this was our night to seek new members of the Profiles in Folk family. The show was a potpourri of musical selections designed to show once again the breadth of this music we term folk and acoustic. With the World Series beckoning, there was a short set on baseball. We also did a set featuring Ralph Stanley from his latest album in advance of his appearance with his band in Bridgeport next Friday night.
Our thanks to all the listeners who made pledges during our time on the air and to WSHU Chief Engineer Paul Litwinovich who did on-air pitching for pledges with me and his wife Ellen who manned the phone room and computer operations.
