Festival Fling II: Newport

10 p.m. to Midnight Host: Steve Winters

This is the second of two shows placing the spotlight on summer folk festivals. This program is devoted specifically to the up and down history of the Newport Folk Festival, which this year takes places on Aug. 3-5 this year. Several lucky listeners won tickets to the festival during the show and our thanks go out to the festival for its generosity for making this possible. The show is comprised entirely of commercially-released live recordings from various Newport fests through the years to illustrate the diversity of music offered.
