Mixed Bag For A Stormy Night

10 p.m. to Midnight Host: Steve Winters

This was to be a night with a live in-studio performance by our old friends, the Shamrogues. However, winter weather interceded and we all erred on the side of safety and caution and deferred to the icy roadways. I made it to the studio and offered listeners a mixed bag of mostly new releases of Celtic and old-time music with a few chestnuts thrown in the fire from a compilation album many of the Shamrogues helped put together for the Shamrock Traditional Irish Music Society. Celtic Fiddle Festival was scheduled to play the next night in our broadcast area and Patrick Street had been just in town.
