A Toast To Mom/A Few Measures Of World Music

10 p.m. to Midnight Host: Steve Winters

It’s Mother’s Day on Sunday and for the first half of the show we offer our annual special musical tribute to moms the world over with a bit of commentary on the evolution of the holiday and the special meaning of the songs programmed.

The show’s second half is a dip into world music with selections from Inca Son, an Andean ensemble that will be appearing in our broadcast area, and listener favorite Loreena McKennitt from her latest CD.
