Late Fall Pledge Drive: Old Folk Friends

10 p.m. to Midnight Host: Steve Winters

It’s WSHU’s Late Fall Pledge Drive and this show was our contribution. The programming was simple: Old Folk Friends of Profiles in Folk listeners. Within that programming, we also paid tribute to Odetta who died on Tuesday, Dec. 2 of heart disease in New York City at age 77.

Our thanks to all who made pledges throughout the program and throughout WSHU Public Radio’s short pledge period. My personal thanks to WSHU Chief Engineer Paul Litwinovich, who joined me in pitching for listener contributions, and to his wife Ellen and other volunteers who manned the telephones.
