Songs Of The Season II

10 p.m. to Midnight Host: Steve Winters

A program of music for these winter holidays, highlighted by guitarist Tim Sparks’ transcription for guitar of Tchaikovsky’s “The Nutcracker Suite” and three tellings of the legendary Christmas Truce of 1914 on the battlefields in France and Belgium during World War I. There are also some old Christmas customs and rituals, a bit of holiday whimsy and a concluding set of songs of peace.
