A Toast To The New Year

10 p.m. to Midnight Host: Steve Winters

This is the first show of a new year and a new decade. This was two hours of traditional and contemporary folk and ritual songs sung and played around the world to welcome in the New Year as its first day ended with one set pondering the notion of time.

This program serves a dual purpose, perhaps: One, a peaceful finale to a day, possibly, of trying to get over a hangover, of overindulging in food and watching too much football, or, better yet, a peaceful end to the first day of a year that hopefully will be a much better year for all of us.
