Take Me Out To The Ballgame

10 p.m. to Midnight Host: Steve Winters

Spring is here, summer's already in the air and the "Boys of Summer" have taken to the green fields sprinkled across North America. Here's a show devoted to America's pastime. As Gerald Early observed, "I think there are only three things that America will be known for 2,000 years from now.the Constitution, jazz and baseball."

There's a vast body of baseball songs performed in folk and acoustic music. This show touches only a small part of that. However, there are sets devoted to the fabled World Series woes of the Chicago Cubs, historic baseball in New York, famous players of the game and the wonderful baseball ballads of Chuck Brodsky, many of them enshrined in the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, N.Y.
