The Northeast is being treated to torrid temperatures this week and a fitting conclusion would be a program of upbeat selections from recent album releases. The first hour definitely matches this week's soaring temperatures, with improvisations from a group of super pickers to bluegrass from New Mexico and California to string band music from both coasts. We cooled down the music in the second hour with singer-songwriters selections from Australia and the U.S., including the new Red Horse super group of Eliza Gilkyson, John Gorka and Lucy Kaplansky.
