End Of The Year Pledge Drive

10 p.m. to Midnight Host: Steve Winters

It's WSHU's End of the Year Pledge Drive and Profiles in Folk offers a potpourri of music for the night: Two tunes of love, a set devoted to the Jewish celebration of Chanukah, a song for musicologist and historian Joe Hickerson's 75th birthday and a special focus on Bob Dylan since we were offering copies of his two latest recorded releases as "thank you" gifts for pledges. Our sincere and heartfelt thanks go to those listeners who took the time to call or use the Web to make a pledge during the show. Once again, a big bouquet goes out to WSHU Chief Engineer Paul Litwinovich for being the show's "pitchman" and his wife Ellen, who handled the telephones.
