Bluegrass and The Blues

10 p.m. to Midnight Host: Steve Winters

This is a night featuring mostly new releases of stellar bluegrass and blues albums. From listener reaction, the program was very pleasing to the ears. It also reaffirmed my belief that I don’t program enough blues.

Special attention was paid to Jamie Dailey and Darrin Vincent, who will be appearing with their award-winning bluegrass ensemble this weekend at Chris Wuerth’s GuitartownCT concert series in Hamden, and to the first new releases in many years from Allison Krauss and Union Station and Hot Tuna.
