Great thanks to all our Profiles in Folk “angels” who made pledges during this program, our part of WSHU’s Spring 2011 Pledge Drive. We more than surpassed our goal for the evening and listeners once again put their money where their ears are at and supported folk music on WSHU Public Radio.
The show delved deep into the folk archive for tunes as we took note of the May birthdays of Judy Collins, Pete Seeger, Bob Dylan and Robert Johnson. Deb Cowan and John Roberts are performing this weekend in our broadcast area.
Again, I offer thunderous applause to WSHU Chief Engineer Paul Litwinovich, who pitched the show; his spouse Ellen, who oversaw the telephone room; and all the listeners at their radios and computers who took the time to contribute.
