As autumn dawns, what better music to warm up the crisp night air than the sounds of string bands? This show offers a mix of string band sounds from around the nation and from new and old album releases and includes a brief set to mark the 10th anniversary of Crooked Still, one of folk music’s most exciting string bands. I also added in wonderful old-timey sounds from a sensational new album from Pharis and Jason Romero who reside in the wilds of British Columbia.
