A Gaggle Of Guitarists Live In WSHU’s Studio A

10 p.m. to Midnight Host: Steve Winters

For 10 years (as of this December), finger style guitarist Robert Messore, a longtime good friend of Profiles in Folk, has gathered guitarists from Connecticut and adjoining states together for an annual showcase concert in New Haven during which these gifted guitarists demonstrate their sundry talents. For many of those years, Robert has brought a gaggle of them into our studios and blessed our listeners with a preview of the concert. This is one of those years and with us for this live show were Robert, Sean Persinger, Ron Anthony and Denny Collin, who accompanied Ron and was eventually convinced to do a solo number as well.

It was a great night of live music and discussion that you simply will not find on commercial radio. And once again, the man behind the glass mixing sound was WSHU Chief Engineer Paul Litwinovich.
