Relishing Recent Releases

10 p.m. to Midnight Host: Steve Winters

This represents one of our simplest formats for Profiles: Sitting back and relishing selected cuts from new and recent releases that found their way to our WSHU Public Radio mailbox. Pharis and Jason Romero hail from Horsefly, British Columbia, Canada, while Red Tail Ring (Laurel Premo and Michael Beauchamp) reside in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Both couples offer up sublime old-time music. Old friend Lara Herscovitch devotes her latest release to promote social justice in a world that sorely needs it, while several old favorites from the folk scene also have new recordings.
