Summer’s prime time for road trips, whether it’s vacation, visits to relatives or friends, or attending folk festivals. I’ve been on the road plenty this summer for festivals and one way of reducing the boredom of driving is listening to CDs. Most folk DJs spend a lot of time in their cars previewing new albums, but in the summer I like to pop old sampler albums in the CD player and refresh my auditory senses with material from the past.
This is the second of two summer shows that features samplers and anthologies of older material that have found their way into the Winters CD player during this summer’s road trips. This week’s music comes from this side of the Atlantic.
