The Man In Black

10 p.m. to Midnight Host: Steve Winters

This show is devoted to Johnny Cash, the country music icon whose music spanned other genres and whose influence on all musical artists was so great. The program includes a “show within a show” with an airing of Joyride Media’s “Johnny Cash: The Greatest” a packaged radio special that explores The Man In Black’s influence beyond his music, including his spiritual and political sides. There is a set on the musical influences on Cash. I opened the night with two selections from a vintage Dakota Dave Hull album.
