Just as the title states, this program consists entirely of English folk artists as the “front men”. It's a show prompted partly by recent listener requests. The night’s fare is a mix of old and new and features new releases from the legendary John Kirkpatrick and relative newcomers Whalebone. Both are from Shropshire, which made for placing the county in the limelight for commentary. I also took a brief trip back to the roots of English folk rock and followed that with a short set featuring young “up and comers” on the British folk scene.
