A fall perennial, this popular show celebrates Halloween and the start of the ancient Celtic New Year. This program differs dramatically from previous years in that, after the opening sets, it’s largely devoted to songs of seal-folk, changelings and shape-shifters. A highlight is the full telling of “Peter Kagan and the Wind”, Gordon Bok’s classic cante-fable of the seal-folk, an extended piece I have not programmed in many years.
