A Mixed Bag

10 p.m. to Midnight Host: Steve Winters

A little of this and a little of that for this program. Most of the first hour was devoted to remembering master songwriting craftsman Jesse Winchester who died April 11 at age 69 after lengthy battles with cancer and Rod Kennedy, the founder and prime supporter of the legendary Kerrville Folk Festival in Texas, who died April 14 at 84. The second hour featured a lengthy set of songs by and about Woody Guthrie and family from recordings new to our Profiles library.
