Playin’ Old Favorites: An Irish Craic

10 p.m. to Midnight Host: Steve Winters

Well, last week’s show of musical selections from the vast Profiles archive morphed into two more shows! You responded en masse to the Aug. 8 show of programming arbitrarily selected cuts from American folk albums that were at least 25 years old. This week it’s an all-Irish show of selections from albums that predate 1990. There’s one exception, but you’ll have find it. Next week our “listen back” will center on England and Scotland. One last note: These “Playin’ Favorites” shows are not “Best of…” or “Top 25…” type of shows. They’re simply selections that I’ve enjoyed programming in decades past and that may possess interesting historical notes.
