A Toast To The New Year

10 p.m. to Midnight Host: Steve Winters

It’s most appropriate to raise our glasses to the New Year on this second day of 2015 with a program largely devoted to traditional and contemporary folk and ritual songs.

Two exceptions: A short set on the 100th anniversary of the famed Christmas Truce on many World War I battlefields in Europe and another short set to highlight an upcoming appearance in Branford of master musicians Karen Ashbrook and Paul Oorts.

To all, my wishes for a happy, healthful and peace-laden New Year.
