Bluegrass For A Gorgeous Summer’s Night

10 p.m. to Midnight Host: Steve Winters

Responding to listener requests for a bit more bluegrass this month, here’s a mix of old and new tracks including music from Della Mae, the Professors of Bluegrass, and the venerable Roger Sprung (he celebrates his 85th birthday on Aug. 29), three groups that will be playing the Connecticut Folk Festival and Green Expo on Sept. 12 in New Haven. And there’s music from new albums in the Profiles mailbox including John Cadley from New York State, Roger & JD Williams from Connecticut and the marvelous ensemble known as Hot Rize.
