Catching Up On New Releases

10 p.m. to Midnight Host: Steve Winters

Well, a host never catches up on new releases. They just keep filling up the mailbox. But this program offers selections from just a handful of the wonderful new releases finding their way to Profiles in Folk, including the debut full album of Deb Cowan and John Roberts, the first album in seven years from Scottish icon Archie Fisher and, surprise, a brand new album from Peter Keane who was part of our Postcrypt Coffeehouse 50th Anniversary show. There’s also a reprise of selections from the debt album from our old acquaintance John Redgate, who appeared in two “in-the-round” sessions on Profiles in Folk. John, whose musical credits include a stint as Paul McCartney in Broadway’s “Beatlemania”, is currently battling cancer. His friends have scheduled a fundraiser and CD release party for this Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at City Lights Gallery in downtown Bridgeport.
