Digging Into The Blues — And Then Some

10 p.m. to Midnight Host: Steve Winters

The greater portion of this edition of Profiles in Folk deals with marvellous new releases that feature the blues (and, yes, that includes Leonard Cohen, the ultimate bluesman!). In addition, I’m placing the spotlight on the upcoming Nutmeg Dulcimer Festival on Friday, Oct. 23 and Saturday, Oct. 24 in downtown Milford, CT. It’s one of the largest gatherings of strummed, picked and hammered dulcimer players in the Northeast. Featured artists appearing in concert will be the iconic John McCutcheon on Friday night and Janita Baker on Saturday evening.
